Saturday August 29th: Matt & I headed to the W&OD by Jimmy's. We got started a little late, and the sun was starting to get high by the end. I had to run 14 miles. I went out 7 and then back. I actually felt pretty good at the end. (Mead even said I "didn't look dead", this was a good sign) :-) I ran it slightly faster than i was expecting. (I got a battery for my red watch).

Tuesday September 1st: It was the perfect running temperature. I went for an evening run on the back trails and decided to see what I could do. So I went for a fast 3 mile run. And, I did it!! I was able to run the entire thing at a 9:20 min/mile!! These longer slower runs are definitely helping my: speed, endurance, and average heart rate!!

Wednesday September 2nd: Met up with Jean again at 4:45am (!) for a 6 mile run. It makes me feel so good to have my runs done in the morning and have the rest of the day "free".

Thursday September 3rd: Today is my day off! I have run 7 days in a row. This equals 45 miles and around 4431 calories burned. This weekend I have to work on teaching stuff as the students are arriving in 5 days! Too many things to do: syllabus, blackboard, copies, organizing, etc.
